BIG SOUNDS and a BIG PRODUCTION – Not your normal Landscape Photography video. These images were taken last week during my Isle of Skye Workshop.

Last week I made one of my two annual trips to what I consider to be one of the best places on earth for landscape photography, the Isle of Skye. Just in case you are unfamiliar with it, it’s a small island located on the west coast of Scotland (UK).

WORKSHOPS: I always make a couple of trips to the Isle of Skye to run 5-day workshops. If it’s something you fancy, you’ll find all the info you need HERE

The temperature during this time of the year was mild, to say the least. The weather, on the other hand, was a little more challenging. It rained every day and the wind was really bad. Stormy at times too! This never worried us at all, it’s just what you expect at this time of year. In fact, we used the rainy times to drive around the island and explore other areas. We found some amazing places, some we photographed, some we didn’t. The ones we didn’t are earmarked for future visits.

I get asked all the time why I venture to the Isle of Skye at wintry times… well that’s a simple one to answer. Whilst the weather might not always be perfect, bad weather always brings clouds which in turn renders most of your pictures dramatic. Ok, so the low cloud can sometimes hinder the proceedings but the drama gained more than makes up for it.

Put your feet up, grab a coffee or something stronger, turn up the sound and enjoy my adventure.

Big production and Big sounds help showcase my work.
